Director and Co-Founder
Laura Coryton MBE
She/Her
Laura Coryton is an award-winning campaigner who led the international petition to end tampon tax which gained 300,000 signatures, led to the Tampon Tax Fund giving £100 to female-focused charities and successfully ended the tax in 2021. Laura co-founded and runs Sex Ed Matters, is a published author with Harper Collins and is an Oxford University graduate.

Julia Coryton
She/Her
Julia Coryton has 10 years of experience creating animations and graphic designs for global brands and volunteers with knitting charities providing support for vulnerable people worldwide. She was part of the founding team of Sex Ed Matters and received Number 10 Downing Street's 'Points of Light' award for her work. She leads our creative vision and ensures our work is accessible for all.

Farhaan Saleel

Farhaan is an ETF Project Manager at Citigroup and holds a degree in computer science from Columbia University. He began supporting Sex Ed Matters when he joined the Yunus and Youth Fellowship for social entrepreneurs in May 2023 and focuses on helping us develop our financial sustainability, grant applications and expansion into new markets.

Emily Hertzell
She/Her
Emily studied Anthropology at university and sex ed was a topic that deeply motivated her research, support and campaigns. Through her career in Higher Education, she's facilitated workshops and trainings for students and colleagues including at Royal Holloway University of London.

She/Her
Cheyenne is a registered nurse and founder of the impactful social media presence 'Lets Talk Gynae', dedicated to tackling stigmas and misunderstandings about gynae health, amplifying voices and advocating for women and girls suffering with reproductive health problems.

Foxy
She/Her
Foxy is a facilitator from East London. She works across London delivering workshops about healthy relationships and domestic abuse prevention. She specialises in LGBTQ+ topics and consent. Foxy is also a fully trained Intimacy Coordinator, working across stage and screen on intimate storytelling.
